Tonasia is a Director, Dramaturge, and Actor in the Boston area. She was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. In later years, she has come to adventure Washington DC, Alexandria Virginia, and England.
She graduated from Emerson College's BFA Acting Program, and is dedicated to collaboration and changing the perspectives of diversity, ethnicity, and gender norms through theatre. Utilizing theater to make those uncomfortable conversation happen. She strives to make today's theatre genuinely reflect and mirror the world as it is "now",
Her roots in classical theater have given her amazing opportunities of travelling England, the Washington DC Area, and Boston. Her previous endeavours have enabled her to work for amazing Boston Theater organizations such as Arts Emerson (Creative Producer), Huntington Theatre (Casting/Producing Apprentice), Bad Habit Productions (General Manager), Brown Box Theatre Project (Artistic Outreach Manager), and The Theater Offensive (Programs Coordinator).
Outside of theatre Tonasia has passions for Boxing, Indian food, Dim Sum, and Post Impressionism Art.
Tonasia is currently the Program Director at StageSource. Tonasia is availabe for freelance work as an Dramaturge, Director, and Actor in the Boston area.
